is full professor at the Institute of Chemistry of ELTE Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest, Hungary). His main research activity is elemental analysis in environmental and food samples as well as indoor air quality. He was the president of the Spectrochemical Society of the Hungarian Chemical Society (MKE) between 2019 and 2023. He was Secretary of the Analytical and Environmental Chemistry Scientific Committee of Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) between 2018 and 2023. He was the co-editor of the 2nd edition of Modern methods of elemental analysis book published by the Hungarian Academic Press. In 2016, he received the Ernő Pungor award of the HAS and in 2020 he was awarded with the Miklós Preisich award of the MKE.
is a full professor at the Department of Molecular and Analytical Chemistry of the University of Szeged (Szeged, Hungary). His main research fields include the method and instrumentation development for laser- and plasma-based analytical spectroscopy, as well as the characterization and application of nano- and microstructures. He has been and is holding the position of chair or board members of various scientific committees within the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Hungarian Chemical Society. He received several awards for his achievements in science and higher education, among them Promotio Sub Auspiciis Praesidentis Rei Publicae (1998), Knight's Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit (2016), Klebelsberg Kúnó Award (2023) and more.
